The touch-up is part
of the journey.
Even with the best care, everyone’s skin heals in its own way. That’s exactly why the free touch-up exists — so your tattoo turns out exactly as it should.

Even when every aftercare step is followed, sometimes an area heals slightly lighter or a line needs a little adjustment. It happens — and that’s why I always include a free touch-up. My goal is for you to be completely happy with the result.

Simple, no fuss.
In three steps.
Wait 30 days
Full healing takes at least a month. Before that, we can’t yet see the definitive result of the tattoo — so a touch-up only makes sense after this time.
Send me a photo
After 30 days, send me a photo of the tattoo on Instagram. We’ll assess together whether a touch-up is needed — and if so, we’ll book it.
Touch-up included
If it’s needed, the touch-up is completely free. You come to the studio, we take care of the adjustment with care, and the tattoo is perfect.
Free touch-up conditions.
Included
- One free touch-up after 30 days
- Photo assessment before booking
- Adjustment of areas that didn’t heal as expected
To keep in mind
- The touch-up is only done after 30 days of healing
- The recommended aftercare instructions must have been followed
- Tattoos on hands, feet and fingers do not include a free touch-up — these areas have a very high touch-up rate, regardless of aftercare
Cancellation policy
- If you can’t make it, please give at least 48 hours’ notice
- In case of a no-show without prior notice, a fee of €30 is charged to rebook
- This fee exists to protect the time of those on the waiting list
Why might a touch-up
be necessary?
Skin is a living organism. Fine line work uses very thin lines — and that delicacy is also what makes it sensitive to healing. Several factors beyond my control influence the final result:
- Skin type and thickness
- The area of the body — some zones shed more
- Skin history (dry skin, keloid tendency, etc.)
- Whether or not the aftercare instructions were followed
It’s not a flaw — it’s simply the nature of human skin. The free touch-up is the way I’ve found to ensure the final result is always what we imagined together.

Your aftercare routine directly influences whether or not a touch-up will be necessary.

After 30 days from your session. Before that, the healing isn’t complete and we can’t assess the real result. Take the photo in good natural light and send it to me on Instagram.
No — most tattoos heal beautifully and need no adjustment at all. The touch-up exists as a guarantee, not as a rule. It depends a lot on the area, skin type, and the aftercare followed.
These areas have a very high touch-up rate — not from lack of care, but because the skin in these zones is in constant movement and contact, which makes it harder for the ink to set. Even with the best aftercare, a touch-up is almost inevitable. That’s why it can’t be included for free.
Be honest with me — we’ll assess it together. If the tattoo needs a touch-up for reasons beyond normal healing, the touch-up may come at a cost. But if you’re unsure about what happened, talk to me before drawing any conclusions.
Yes, always. The touch-up is done by me, at the Boavista studio, under the same conditions as the original session. With the same care and attention.
Of course. I have clients who come from outside Portugal — we plan the session and touch-up dates together so they coincide with a visit to Porto. Get in touch and we’ll find a solution.

The session, the aftercare, the touch-up — I take care of everything. Your only job is to show up.
